Magic in the Air
02:56
|
|||
There's a crescent moon, and a crescent beach,
And the stars seems inches out of reach.
If I could hold one in my hand,
Would you join me here upon the sand?
There's a gentle breeze, and a midnight sky,
And an ocean soft as a lullaby.
If I could sing that ocean's song,
Would you join me here and sing along?
For the night is filled with mystery,
And powers we can't touch or see.
So, who knows what we might achieve,
With two hearts that believe.
There's a touch of MAGIC IN THE AIR,
And though I'm here, and you are there,
We might not seem so far apart
If we close our eyes and trust our hearts.

It's That Kind of Night
03:14
|
|||
The boys all say that I don't stand a chance
But I'm thinkin', if I ask you to, you'll dance
Am I right?
IT'S THAT KIND OF NIGHT.
You might be up for tryin' something new.
Or maybe not. Still, what harm could it do?
I don't bite,
And IT'S THAT KIND OF NIGHT.
It's a good night for starting something.
It's a good night for what might be.
It's the kind of night a girl like you
Could say, "What have I got to lose?"
And leave the dance with somebody like me.
If we linger on the path to talk a spell,
Will it all end with a kiss? It's hard to tell,
It just might,
IT'S THAT KIND OF NIGHT.
The boys all say that I don't stand a chance
But I'm thinkin', if I ask you to, you'll dance
Am I right?
IT'S THAT KIND OF NIGHT.

1000 Shades of Gray
05:27
|
|||
I know, somewhere the sky is blue.
So I've been told, and I believe it's true.
Once you get past, out past this overcast.
Down here, the air is soaking wet,
And the sky's 'bout as low as it can get.
For days, seems like it's been the same,
And tomorrow, it'll be the same again.
So as the fog forms on my the window pane,
I sit alone and stare out at the rain.
Another day: A THOUSAND SHADES OF GRAY.
It's another day: A THOUSAND SHADES OF GRAY...
Seems like nothing ever changes,
Everything remains the same.
All these streets are filled with strangers,
Nameless faces, and faceless names.
So as the fog forms on my the window pane,
I sit alone and stare out at the rain.
Another day: A THOUSAND SHADES OF GRAY.
It's another day: A THOUSAND SHADES OF GRAY...

Bad Medicine
04:13
|
|||
Well, I knew who it was when I heard the sound of your knock
And I thought about it twice before I drew back the lock
And it only took me one look in your eyes to justify my hesitation
I've seen that look before, and it's surely, it's BAD MEDICINE
BAD MEDICINE
You assume that you're wanted each time you choose to appear
And once there was a time that you would've known welcome here.
So you'd show up every once in a while, for a little rest & recreation
And I'd take you right in, but never again, it's BAD MEDICINE
BAD MEDICINE
Once upon a time you looked like somethin',
That I might have called a lover or a friend.
But once upon a time just turned into nothin',
That I'd ever want to do again...
It's BAD MEDICINE
BAD MEDICINE
With a belly full of whiskey, and a nose full of fools' delight,
You've got some damn gall to show up at all tonight.
So I'll get you some coffee, and I'll call you a cab, that's it, end of conversation.
Talking won't do, 'cause talkin' to you is BAD MEDICINE. BAD MEDICINE

Livin' in the Future
04:15
|
|||
You're LIVIN' IN THE FUTURE, you're not here in the now.
That's what my baby say, but I don't mind.
'Cause who can tell the future? It's all guessin' anyhow.
So I expect the best, 'most all the time.
But now and the darkness overcomes me.
And trepidation's knawin' at my sooul.
It's like I'm standing at the edge of a lonely canyon,
And I can hear the river rushin' far below.
And it's not the heights that scare me, as my heart starts to pump.
It's the river voices daring me, I'm afraid,
I might jump!
So now, I'm livin' in the city, and I go to work each day.
And every other week, I collect my pay.
I ain't askin' for no pity. I don't mind it anyway.
And if I did you know I wouldn't stay.
But now and the darkness overcomes me.
And trepidation's knawin' at my soul.
It's like I'm standing at the edge of the concrete canyon,
And I can see the people rushin' by below.
And it's not the heights that scare me, as my heart starts to pump.
It's the traffic noises daring me, I'm afraid,
I might jump!
So I'll live in the future, and I'll endure the now.
And I'll hope for the better day to come.
'Cause one thing 'bout the future. It'll find you anyhow,
So I'll keep marchin' to my private drum,
If I don't jump! 'Cause I might jump!
